It started out as I was gonna drive up to Helena MT to Sarah’s parents property. Check it out, as it’s the wedding venue. And then we’d head out to a pass and do their engagement photos. I arrived to gifts of mini bottles of Malibu Rum. Instant best friends. Lunch. And, mimosas. We sat and chatted and then the idea was thrown out of what if we called over Kelsie & Johnny (one of my 2013 couples, Kelsie is Sarah’s cousin) to drive the boat and we just head out on the lake. See what we see. Hop on and off where ever we wanted for photos. And that idea was answered with a hell yes! So the 5 of us hit the water. Jumping on and off. I mean seriously the first spot I said ‘hey what do you think of jumping off and climbing up that rock?’ They were almost completely off the boat before finishing saying yes. And here’s my girl, Sarah, climbing around the side of the rock to jump back onto the boat when we were done….. Badass. She is a badass. It was so fun to just go out and just go with what came to us. It was chill. Laid back. Just photograph them in their element. Doing their thang. And, I love how it turned out. And rather than just end with photos. These two headed out on the paddle board. And then some wake surfing and Kelsie taught me how. I drove home pinching myself, is this really my job? Head out on the boat, take some photos, have some drinks, a few activities. Yeahhhhh it doesn’t get better than this. Stoked for their wedding next month!!!!
