From the moment Kelsie and I got off the phone for the first time I wanted her as my best friend. Honestly my best friend knows about her that’s how much I love her. Her and Johnny’s love for the mountains mirrors our love for the mountains. Kelsie inspires me. To love life whole-heartedly, deeply, purely. To push yourself until you think you can’t go any further to realize you’re capable of much more.
I’ve been trying to patiently wait for her wedding. Until that moment I’d get to hug her. Confess my love for her haha. Turns out it’s mutual 😉  Their wedding is one of my favorites to date. It took place in one of my favorite locations. Which mind you is not a wedding venue.  Sami & Dylan were married in this same place last year, because Dylan’s family once owned the fishing lodge at one point and it was near and dear to them. Kelsie saw their wedding featured on Luxe Mountain Weddings and knew it was just the place for her. Worked special arrangements to make it happen. And then Dylan’s family bought the fishing lodge again. It was sooo great getting to catch up with his parents for a bit during dinner. But I love this place. Its beauty. It’s quietness. It’s in places like this surrounded by nature, the river, the mountains, wildlife, that we really find ourselves.
If I hadn’t been sick all week and travelled every single day this week and didn’t want my own bed to sleep in (which was 2.5 hour drive away) I would have danced the night away with them. I didn’t want to leave, but we decided backpacking together is in our future and I can’t wait!!
Seriously! Who wouldn’t want these girls as friends?!
