I love any opportunity to second shoot for one of my friends. And when Meg asked if I’d go with her to Mexico I certainly wasn’t going to say no. It’s so great to work along side someone I love to be around and someone I’m inspired by. To take a step back and see how she does things, see things in a different light.

This wedding was beyond fun. We flew there and back with the bride and groom, and all of their friends and family. Leaving just after midnight on a freezing plane. Taking naps on heaters in Toronto. And downing Coronas on the bus jamming to Backstreet Boys. A week in paradise with them at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya pool bars and bar bars. Singing along with Nick Jonas on the beach… yeah he was there too. Seriously. Screaming for our hockey teams in the lobby bar with the tv connected to a computer… cause Mexico isn’t into hockey apparently. It was bittersweet to leave. All of us sick of each other, yet still wanting it all to continue.

The wedding was incredible. Stephanie and Mack are quite possibly in the top 10 of most gorgeous couples on the planet. It happened to be on the hottest day of the week and as hot and sweaty as we all were you’d never know it in the photos. A day filled with the most happy tears I’ve seen. Even Meg and I cried and let’s be real we don’t even really know these people!!! What on earth?! It was that amazing. Hours upon hours of dancing. And a midnight snack bar! GENIUS!! Seriously one of the best weddings ever.

Huge thank you to Meg for asking me to help and to Steph and Mack for bringing us and our ridiculousness all the way down there. We adore you and the great people you’ve surrounded yourselves with!
