Amanda is my best friend. A couple times a year I photograph her and her growing twin girls. But since Ryan came into her life we’ve also started doing couples sessions every year. Or twice a year. That happens sometimes too. They are the easiest people to photograph in that they’re absolutely gorgeous and the entire shoot they spend goofing off and laughing. Easy. They’re also the hardest people to photograph in the world, at the same time. Because all they do is goof off. And in the majority of images one of them looks ridiculous. They’re too good looking to have so many ridiculous photos. They’re a challenge. That I thoroughly enjoy.

This time Amanda wanted to go up to a place I once took her on a surprise adventure day just outside Missoula MT. So we roadtripped up. Sang ridiculous songs. Actually I might have been the only one singing, but whatever. You’re welcome you two! Chugged coffees. Messed around in the mountains. Ate lunch at the Malt Shop. Had some ice cream. And drove back home. Exhausted. We had so much fun. Laughed so hard. We wore ourselves out. I’m so excited about their photos! I have to make it known these are NOT engagement photos. But one day they will be engaged and their engagement photos will be epic!
