Days before Colleen & Kyle’s wedding at The Idaho Club in Sandpoint ID smoke filled in the valley. So thick at times. Actually just getting worse every day. But the night before rain sprinkled and the winds blew East strangely enough clearing the valley. Not completely but more than enough. We’re crediting that miracle to Colleen’s parents both looking down on her, blessing her and Kyle’s big day.
After putting on her custom made dress she took a deep breath and it all began to settle in. Trying to sneak glimpses of Kyle outside below her room. Saying how much she couldn’t wait to see his face and his reaction. And when he did see her the biggest smile ever stretched across his face. And it stayed right there. His cheeks must have been sore the next day 😉
The ceremony took place in the backyard of Kyle’s parents house just of one of the greens at the club. And rather than a unity candle or sand these two love to golf and it was only fitting they have a golf shot ceremony. Sharing together at the altar their first tee of married life. They love to play scramble golf. Where they both take a tee shot, then decide who’s is better and both hit from that spot and so forth until the ball is holed. I loved that they tee’d up some golf balls, and tee’d off at the altar. Colleen doing so after removing her heels 😉 A reminder that at each challenge they each take their best shot, then deciding who’s is better for the two of them and continuing on… TOGETHER. So fun and different! Loved it!
With the smoke cleared out we actually had a sunset!!! So we hopped in their specially decorated golf cart (by the flower girls) and ran up the hill to catch the end of it. And I’m obsessed with Colleen & Kyle’s connection. It’s undeniable. These two are perfect for each other.
SO happy I was asked to be there on their amazing day. There was laughter, tear, the works. Congratulations you two!!!
XOXO
