Erin and Nat’s love story is quite possibly my favorite of all time. How an Australian came to the US and was lovestruck by a gorgeous girl from Seattle but she wasn’t interested in anything more than being friends. He pursued her for a year and a half as she continued to say no not interested in dating. And finally on a trip to Australia he asked her again if she would be his girlfriend and date him to which she once again said no thanks. And after not talking for a few days Erin decided she couldn’t leave Australia this way. That what the heck, even though she thought she had a plan for her life at the moment, why not give this dating Nat a try. What’s the worse that could happen, they’d go back to being friends? But really how was this going to work with an ocean separating them.
But, they made it work. Nat eventually even moved to Vancouver, BC so he could be closer to Erin. And after he crafted a little row boat he took Erin out in it and proposed to her on Flowing Lake. And a couple weeks ago they shared the most heartfelt vows to each other at Green Gates at Flowing Lake and made this thing official.
With everyone on Nat’s side of the bridal party being from Australia, other than Erin’s brother, I joked that their stubbornness would make me never photograph another Australian wedding. Nat actually told me no at one point. People don’t tell me no…. And I don’t accept it lol. But truthfully I’d love to photograph Australians every week. They were so much fun. And it’s clear that Nat has been mesmerized by Erin. And although it took her longer to realize what they are and what they could be she’s equally madly in love with him.
Erin and Nat THANK YOU SO MUCH for bringing me to Seattle to photograph your incredible wedding. I’d do it every day!!! I’m excited to see where life takes the two of you, it’s bound to be a grand adventure!
XOXO
