First wedding of 2013. Startin’ early!  Usually there are some jitters with the first wedding of the year. Normally I’ve had a good few months since shooting my last wedding and it takes a few shots and running around to get back in the game. But this time, all was good. Now it could have been cause my last wedding was only 2.5 months ago, but really it was because this couple is awesome, and gorgeous, and fun! However my legs on Sunday reminded me it had been a few months since I photographed a wedding 😉

I was so excited when Matt and Kymra booked me. Kymra is so sweet. And, Matt and I go wayyy back. I won’t say how many years, don’t want you guys knowing that we’re that old, ok. We went to elementary and middle school together. Matt tells people I stabbed him with a pencil. The way I remember it was that he slammed his hand down onto my pencil. Whatever story you believe there’s proof to this day on his hand it happened. Then I moved right before high school, but Joe went to the same high school so he knew Matt and some of the groomsmen too. And then to top it off after college Joe and Matt started working for the same company. This wedding was stunningly gorgeous and SO much fun. A big reunion of childhood friends, Joe’s co-workers, other 2013 couples (ya their friends have booked us too), and even guests who were at (or even part of) Nick & Ronnie’s wedding this September! Sidenote: Ronnie went to school with Kymra growing up and Nick went to school with Matt, Joe and I growing up. Crazy small world!

It was THE BEST WAY EVER to start a new year of weddings. Not exaggerating!

Matt and Kymra are off starting their marriage the best way possible. In Jamaica!! Hope you two are having the best time of your lives. CONGRATULATIONS again! Thank you so much for including us in such a special day. We love you!
