It all started when they met on a mission trip to the Philippines 7 years ago and this weekend they stood on a frozen Lake Louise with their family and brothers standing around them witnessing they’re beautiful vows to love each other forever. Miranda was always drawn to the idea of eloping somewhere away from home and make an adventure of it. Where to do it changed a few times but in the end they fell in love with the mountains of Banff and the blue water of Lake Louise. She envisioned November with the mountains all snow capped but the blue pristine lake and a cool breeze. That didn’t happen. Mother nature brought winter, full force. And when they couldn’t get married in front of this blue lake as it was frozen over and covered in snow, they got married ON the lake 🙂 In a complete winter wonderland! It was sooo beautiful.

These two had a smile on their face the whole time. Even as night fell and the wind blew off Two Jack Lake they shivered and smiled. The whole afternoon the snow fell and blew like a winter blizzard and my gosh it just couldn’t have been prettier. Miranda’s dress was so perfect and Chase’s suit was on point. The snow did a number on our hair and makeup but you’d never know cause happiness is so beautiful.

I’m in absolute awe of couples like Miranda and Chase. Undeniably so in love. From the way they walk together, how he holds her hand, and the way they look at each other in a storm as if they don’t notice a thing happening around them. A day so full of them and their love and not another care in the world. It was pure winter magic!

Miranda and Chase thank you thank you for bringing me to Banff to photograph part of your love story! You are AMAZING and your story is incredible. 7 years together is just the beginning for you two!!!!!
