Meg & Peter. I don’t really know where to start. I was there when they became “Meg & Peter.” I’ve witnessed their relationship grow whether it was moving forward or having a set back. But through it all their relationship is quite beautiful. Their active pursuit for one another and towards happiness. Individually and together. Their love is rare and it is wild.

I flew over to Kauai HI to spend some time with Meg and also to photograph a day after session for one of my couples!! That’s coming soon. I was about to text Meg and say please let me photograph you two just as she text me to say please photograph us! So it was meant to happen.

We made this grand plan for a hike to an epic location. Although things rarely happen exactly as we plan them when we’re together. Something else is always thrown at us and we just ride it out in another direction. We went to the trailhead only to find that the area we wanted to hike down into was completely socked in with fog and after waiting a bit we determined it wasn’t going anywhere. Plan B…. chase the sun. We started up in the mountains and chased it down to the beach stopping along the way. And it was pure magic. From the lighting, the way they laugh with each other, how he pulls her, she grips him tight, to the sunset lighting up the sky. Pure magic.

There is nothing more nerve racking than photographing a friend who is a photographer! But this has ended up being one of my favorite sets of images EVER! Thank you thank you Meg & Peter for asking me to do these! Love you both!!!
