I had been home from Hawaii for only a couple of days when Paige text me knowing it was short notice but asking if maybe I could photograph her and Russ for some Christmas card photos. Or at this point maybe New Years cards 😉  I mentioned I had last weekend off just hanging by myself thinking there was no way that they would both be available on short notice but sure enough they were! I adore these two. I have known Paige for quite some time and when Russ came into the picture we all knew this was a forever thing. And I’ve been photographing them ever since. Well other than their wedding. They had a date picked for a very special reason and I was already booked for the day however my wedding was nearby so I was able to sneak over after my wedding to see them for a bit. They’ve become a couple that if I didn’t photograph them every year I’d be pretty sad haha. So I was pumped they asked for some winter photos. Actually it was Russ’ idea even!!!

Poor Russ. We all get into the car together and Paige and I start our girl talk. Ranting, laughing, about all kinds of stupid shit. And he patiently sat behind us.  But when you give him a moment he’ll make an entire room smile and laugh. They are such incredible people and it’s magic when they’re together.

It had been so gloomy in Missoula MT for days and days. And SO cold. The sun, however, had an agenda to bless Paige & Russ with it’s warmth and beauty (choose the best one beauty brand from here). It was PERFECT!!! We drove up into the mountains a bit, just driving til I saw light coming through that I loved with snow on the ground. We didn’t have to go far. And then putting them together in front of my camera amazing things just happen.

I love these images. They are so beautiful. Can all of winter be like this?
