The little things about fall

I'm Jackie

Traveling wedding photographer + photography/small biz educator.

Mesmerized by the way two people love each other, each so uniquely.  I always leave room for dessert. Believe swear words are just sentence embellishers. Think indulgences are necessary in this life.

hey hey

Parties with all the best people in their lives.

Love stories in all forms without the white dress... or maybe they wore white, it happens.

Just my little thoughts on different topics of planning your wedding day big party or just you two.

Stories of two lovers making it all about them, as they should.

I’ve said in the past that I dislike fall. And that’s not entirely true. I dislike rain. And it usually rains in fall, and spring. Therefore I dislike fall. And spring. I prefer sun or snow 🙂 Haha.  Honestly there are some things that I really do love about fall. Such as –

I believe it’s the time of the year that the universe says “Yes, yes Jackie, you can consume as much coffee as you’d like without feeling bad about it. It’s keeping you warm after all.”

Sweater blankets. I don’t think I need to elaborate.

The fireplace. Well we just bought a new house with one, but ya it’s officially on the list. It makes the room feel so cozy.

Boots. Yup. We’re buying lots this year. All kinds. Big and small.

The way the cool brisk air feels when you breath it in.

Jumping in leaves. Makes me feel like a child again. Cause I don’t wanna grow up. Growing up mean responsibilities so I’ll jump in leaf piles all day. Sucks when they get under your shirt though.

Beanies. They are now an acceptable accessory in public. And although everyone thinks I’m just trying to keep my head warm, chances are I didn’t feel like doing anything with my hair. 🙂

Comfort food. I really don’t feel bad about eating comfort food. It’s natural this time of year, right?

And although all of these things are great the two things I love most about fall:

ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS

Spending time with my new couples. This is the beginning of our friendship. Having fun, laughing together. Consuming warm drinks. Planning the biggest day of their lives. And a few photos along the way to document it all.

FAMILY TIME

Afterall, when the day is over, these are the people who mean the most to me. Fall is the beginning of the holiday season and family gatherings. Games, coffee (DUH), ridiculousness. And again another time for us all to act like children 😉 This is the time I really cherish.

Even though I hate the rain, and it’s bound to come. Well actually it rained yesterday morning :/ There are still so many things I love about fall. I really couldn’t be happier it was here!
