Cailey and Montana traveled to Ninepipes Lodge outside of St Ignatius MT a year and a half ago and just knew that it was the perfect place for them to elope and they immediately started making plans. I was so excited when she asked me to photograph it! I hadn’t actually been to Ninepipes in so long, but I actually worked in their restaurant after high school so a little bit of nostalgia there for me. And their back deck with the water and the mountains is such an amazing spot to elope. Definitely a spot more should consider, it’s so beautiful!
The clouds rolled in only leaving a slight view of the mountains and it rained the whole time, but they came here for the view. There was no way they weren’t going to have their ceremony outside. It still rained, and they rocked their Tuesday afternoon celebration with their parents, siblings, and their own two adorable daughters. A small cake and amazing flowers to tie it all up. The spoke sweet vows to one another and exchanged rings and lots of love and laughter. Simple, purposeful and so very perfect.
They were so sweet with each other during their photos, and not a single word of being cold or wet. Cailey took her shoes off and just ran around everywhere and absolutely obsessed with her bouquet. She let her dress go where ever without a care about it getting dirty. And laughing the whole time. You could just see how much Montana adored her by the way he looked at her, watched her, smiled with her. Just the most amazing combination. This day didn’t feel like work for even a second, I LOVED it. We ended with them having their first dance, just the two of them on the patio in the rain. Doesn’t get more romantic than that!!! More barefoot, carefree, stunning brides please!!!! Here are a few of my faves from their sweet little afternoon elopement!
