Justine is one of my best friends. And when she invited me up to Vancouver BC for Canadian Thanksgiving on the Sunshine Coast…. immediate yes. Hands down. I’ll be there. My first Canadian Thanksgiving. I actually feel somewhat Canadian celebrating it. My first time to the Sunshine Coast. Oh my gosh! Although we picked that one time of the year that the sun didn’t do much shining on the Sunshine Coast.
I came up the week before the holiday just to hang out. It’s been a while since Justine and I have really spent some time together. This idea came up to try on her wedding dress. 7 years later. For women it is a huge accomplishment if you can still fit into your wedding dress many years later and maybe a few kids later. Justine wore it 7 years ago, has had 2 children since… put it on and BAM that sucker fit perfect. And this was something to celebrate. We convinced Marco we should run out to the woods during sunset and take some updated photos of them. Photography has changed alot in the last 7 years. And why not?! It was 2 against 1 so he rolled with it. But the look on his face when he walked into the living room to see Justine with her hair curled, makeup on, properly tied up in her dress…. absolutely priceless.
I grabbed Justine’s camera and we jumped into the car. I think Justine and I have somewhat similar styles of shooting. Use the same lenses and such but it’s crazy how someone elses camera just doesn’t sit right in your hands. Settings are all different. It’s just weird. So after some mumblings from me and adjustments to get used her camera we were on a roll. I didn’t have to do anything as these two canoodled the whole time. Other than stand as high as I could on my tippy toes and shoot with my camera in the air. They’re both a whole foot taller than me. Ok, not the whole time, but definitely some of the time.
I adore these two. They way that they look at each other. Goof off with each other. They’re carefree. They haven’t even seen most of these photos…. which makes me a little nervous, but only because Justine is a photographer herself. Sooooooo without further ado…. I present two hotties!
