When it’s below freezing and you can’t get the sled to slide down the hill in deep snow all you can do is laugh. Our fingers were freezing. We took frequent breaks to shove our hands in our pockets and rub our bellies. Cause, you know, friction…. warms them up quicker! We all thought it was about 20 degrees outside. Come to find out we’ve been playing in 2 degree weather on a frozen lake. We’re glad we didn’t know how cold it was or we probably wouldn’t have been out there that long.  And even though it was freezing Claire made us stop for ice cream on the way home. She’s crazy!

I adore Claire and Ryan. I had the best time taking a mini road trip out of town. Tacos and coffee to go, ice cream on the way back. The snow. The freezing cold. And sunshine. We thought for sure we wouldn’t see the sun. It magically appears when the time is just right 😉
