She was calm and collected. Laughing. Soaking in every minute. Singing along to the music playing through the house, other than Miley Cyrus. Miley was banned from this getting ready party. 😉  Jacob on the other hand…. so anxious, checking the time every few minutes, convincing himself that Cliff bars were enough to get him by. But the jitters faded away as soon as he turned around to see gorgeous, Halley.
It rained through the night before into the morning. But just as Halley was leaving the salon it started to let up and the sidewalks began to dry. And as she left the house to see Jacob for the first time that day the sun even came out. And the rain held off for a while… until their first kiss. They had this intimate ceremony in the front yard on the porch of her Aunt’s historic home in the university district of Missoula MT. A canopy of trees covering them as the clouds slowly rolled in. But it wasn’t until they kissed that the first drop fell. As if the universe was blessing them. And as the reception started the rain pounded down to leave behind a double rainbow out the windows of the ballroom. The clouds still loomed. And as the sun fell completely below the horizon the clouds lifted and we rushed out jumping over the rail out onto the roof of a university building just to catch the end of it.
Halley & Jacob are one of the sweetest couples ever. I couldn’t be more grateful to start the wedding season with these two along with their friends and family. They just wanted to have fun and Halley made sure every person enjoyed it.
Congratulations you two! Hope you’re having the best time in Peru!!!!! Â XOXO!
Halley & Jacob had a Golden Globes themed photobooth at the reception and she asked me to do photos for it, and what on earth it was SO MUCH FUN!!!! So much so that I’m going to write another blog post just about it and share a zillion photos of fun from it 🙂 A little peek…..
