Kerstin and Justin said I Do with an intimate ceremony in a friend backyard just outside of Missoula MT surrounded by a small group of their closest friends and family. Well to them, blood or not, this was just their family. It rained all night the night before and all morning the morning of. But hey, we have no control over the weather and rain on a wedding day is good luck! And sure enough just before the ceremony the rain stopped and the sun even peeked through the clouds to shine down on them a bit.
Justin and his fam are actually from the greater Vancouver, BC area. But Justin left home early on to pursue hockey. Which landed him playing in Montana, where he met Kerstin years ago. And they’ve stayed together since. Always pushing each other and supporting each other in their dreams. And if that isn’t the best foundation for a marriage, I don’t know what is. As the both continue on pushing each other to follow them where their heart takes them.
Within seconds after Kerstin walked out of the house with arm locked in with her dad’s Justin fought back the tears as much as he could. And if that isn’t sweet enough… as she walked closer to him he quickly whipped out his phone to take a quick photo of his bride walking towards him and then put it back in his pocket. That’s the first time I’ve ever witnessed that! And normally I’d think what on earth. But it was so sweet as he said he needed to preserve that very moment from his perspective forever as he put his phone away as quickly as it came out.
I had so much fun with these two and their family. Justin said he isn’t a dancer but I don’t know about that…. Even when he wasn’t dancing he still remained on the dance floor with his groomsmen belting out the words to every song. For a small guest list, this group knows how to party 🙂
Kerstin & Justin, thank you SO much for including me in your amazing day. I wish you both all the love and happiness in the world. And yes one day we’ll scream our hearts out, drink many beers and eat donut holes (cause they are the shit!) at a Canucks game! XOXO
