Michaela has been following me on social media for pretty much EVER. I take notice of the names of people following me and commenting and liking, etc. And she did. So when the time came to plan her own wedding she sent me a message and as soon as her name popped up in my inbox I thought OH I KNOW HER!! Although really I didn’t haha. It’s so exciting when someone who has been following you for so long actually asks you to be their photographer!

Her and Thomas had planned this small intimate wedding getaway for Glacier. She traveled out here with her dad and visited the park. It’s beautiful, that’s for sure. But for her it just didn’t feel right for their wedding and bringing guests. Which I can totally see. It’s packed with tourists and really if you’re eloping or have just a couple people it’s perfect but if you have a guest list it can be a hard place to plan an entire event smoothly. After leaving the park, she felt so down and unsure of what to do and then they went and stayed at her cousin’s house on Flathead Lake and she fell in love.

It was absolutely so perfect for them. Such a beautiful property and all of their family joined them as they exchanged vows and danced the night away. Her cousin pulled it all together with this beautiful space for dinner and dancing, ceremony on the lawn, smores by the lake at night. She even had this small little cherry orchard in the back corner that I fell in love with. It was amazing! Michaela is sweet as can be and Thomas had us a laughing all night. They have the most darling little boy who brought a smile to everyone’s face. Just the most stunning Friday night on the lake in a backyard!!!
