A week or so ago it was so nice out, I insisted my good friend, Molly and I go out for a little fun shoot. 1. It was nice out and 2. we discussed a few weeks ago that we needed to do this this month. Last March we took a trip to Vancouver with some friends. Our friends got engaged on that trip! The entire trip I was trying to take better pictures of Vancouver and it just wasn’t working out. So when I came home I decided I needed to work on my photography. And by work I meant take okay photos and edit them cause that fixes everything, right? WRONG! Our friends liked the photos I was taking and asked if I’d do an engagement session for them. I said YA! Love to! I was out of my mind!
I realized quickly that I had never posed people before I’d only chased my daughter around taking photos. So I asked Molly to come out with me and use her for practice. I new to get better and learn my camera I needed to change it to manual. I thought that meant change the focus to manual. My camera was still on Auto. I had A LOT to learn! This was what I considered at the time as my first session! I no longer do as I realize I knew nothing. So since it’s been a year from that time we thought it would be fun to go out to the same place and do photos again, a year later. I’ll be blogging in the next couple days showing both sessions to hopefully inspire new photographers that you can learn SO much in a year if you really work on it! But for now. Here are the photos we took the other day.
Had to share this one, just for some fun 🙂
