There is something soooooo incredibly beautiful about elopements. So simple but not lacking. And so intimate. What is more intimate than saying yes to the one love with personalized written vows in the forest, just the two of you? Alicia & Patrick knew this is just what they wanted to do. Along the way they found Glacier National Park and decided it was the place for them. Without ever visiting before, it was perfect. No hesitations. All day they continued to say over and over how right they were, that this was the place for them. Such an honor to spend the day with them. Their witness. Photographing them as they stepped through the trees, on the rocks, pulling each other in to embrace. Forgetting that I was even there. Which I loved. Just sitting back photographing them doing them. I love the way she pulls herself into his chest and just rests her head there and kisses her on the top of the head. So sweet!

And it was their 2 year anniversary!!!  They met and quickly fell in love. Unexplainably just right.  And two years later on their anniversary they started forever.

It was such a beautiful morning in Glacier. At some point, somehow, Alicia got lipstick on her dress, on her knee. Yes, her knee. Impressive right?!!! Fortunately right at the end of our pictures for the morning, just before lunch. And she decided, screw it, why not have a big juicy burger for lunch, while wearing her dress! The amount of people staring at them chow down was awesome. They just enjoyed their big day however they wanted, without reservation.

Elopements are quickly becoming my favorite. I’m excited to have them speckled throughout my summer schedule and even better to start with these two!
